Billing and refunds
How to buy and renew a subscription, how price and upgrades are calculated, how to apply a promo code, cooling rules in KKOROCHE, and where to read the payment provider’s current rules. Amounts are shown in EUR.
Where to read current payment rules
Checkout uses the configured European payment flow (cards and common EU rails). This section describes KKOROCHE rules (subscription term, price formulas, promo codes, cooling). For how the processor accepts payments and refunds, follow the in-checkout notices and the legal pages — they can update independently of product docs.
How to check out
- Pick a plan on the home page or in the workspace (plan badge / Upgrade / Profile).
- Sign in with Google if needed — after sign-in the checkout page /home/checkout opens.
- On checkout choose a plan and a term from 1 to 12 months (or confirm an upgrade for remaining days).
- If you have a promo code — enter it in “Promo code” and click “Apply”: the total on the right updates.
- Accept the paid-services offer and refund policy, then click “Pay” — the payment widget opens.
- After a successful payment the plan updates automatically; receipt and history are under “Transactions”.
Term and price
You can subscribe for any term from 1 to 12 months. One billing month = 30 days of coverage. Price for N months = monthly plan price × N. Paying for exactly 12 months applies a 20% discount (rounded down to whole euro cents / whole EUR as shown at checkout).
- Example: plan €20/mo for 3 months → €60 and 90 days.
- Example: plan €20/mo for 12 months → floor(20 × 12 × 0.8) = €192 and 360 days.
- FREE and FREE+ are not purchased via checkout — they are starter/free plans.
On the home page the “Month / Year” toggle shows a price guide. Exact term and amount are always chosen on checkout.
Promo code
On checkout you can enter a promo code — the payable amount updates immediately. The code only applies within its rules: which plans, which term (e.g. only 3–12 months) and whether it applies to upgrades. If rules do not match, the service shows a clear error.
- Promo codes use Latin letters and digits (“_” and “-” allowed), usually 4–32 characters.
- Discount may be percent or a fixed EUR amount — as stated in the offer.
- After applying the code, “Total” shows the amount before discount and the discount size.
- If you change plan or term — re-apply the code (the old discount resets).
- Payable amount is always at least €1 — even with a large discount.
Promo discount is recorded only after successful payment. If you cancel before paying, you can usually enter the code again. After a successful payment the same code typically will not work again on that account.
WARNING: Not every offer applies to upgrades (top-up for remaining days). If the promo does not allow upgrades, buy or renew normally — or wait for an offer that explicitly allows upgrades.
Purchase, renewal and upgrade
If there is no active paid period — you purchase or renew with a month count. If you already have a paid period and move to a higher plan — that is an upgrade: you pay only for remaining days; the period end date does not change.
- Upgrade formula: floor((new_price − old_price) × remaining_days / 30). The yearly discount does not apply to upgrades.
- Example: PERSONAL €20 → PRO €40, 20 days left → floor((40 − 20) × 20 / 30) = €13.
- Downgrading via payment is not available while a higher plan is active.
- Upgrade and renewal are separate: first top up remaining days, then if needed a separate renewal with months.
Refunds
Refunds start in the workspace (Transactions → payment). A reason is required. Within the first 3 days after payment a full remaining refund is available. After that window — a proportional partial refund for unused days. Subscription days are removed after a successful refund.
- Partial: unused_days = granted_days − used_days − already_charged; amount ≈ floor(amount × unused_days / granted_days).
- Refunds only go to the original payment method — that is how the payment provider handles refunds.
- Not every payment method supports partial refunds; in that case the workspace shows that a refund is unavailable.
- A second full refund after a full refund is not possible.
WARNING: Refunds always return to the same payment instrument used for the charge. Current method and refund limits are in the provider docs linked above.
Business payments
For companies, prefer card or bank methods supported by the EU checkout widget so accounting and refunds stay straightforward. Details — in the payment provider documentation.
Cooling period
After a paid period ends (or after a full day refund) the plan becomes FREE, but redirects for already created links keep working for 7 more days. You cannot create or change resources beyond FREE limits during cooling. When cooling ends, excess resources are disabled — restore them by paying for a subscription again.
- The header and transactions page show remaining cooling time.
- After a new successful payment active cooling ends and disabled resources within the new limit return.
- A new cooling period is granted at most once per 30 days: another full refund or expiry in that window moves the account to FREE without another 7-day grace (excess resources disable immediately).
Legal documents
Before paying you must accept the paid-services offer and refund policy. Documents are published on the site and linked below.
